Maltese snooker player Alex Borg started his participation in the EBSA European Championships with a win yesterday. Borg won 4-0 and registered breaks of 95, 74 and 53. Today he will meet Shaja Rama of Israel in his second match. The EBSA Championships are being held in the Olympic Sport Centre of Dangavpils in Latvia and 152 players fromn 32 countries are taking part.

Meanwhile, other Maltese player, Toony Drago made it to the second round of the Wuxi qualifiers being played in the UK when he beat Sahun O’Sullivan in the first round yesterday.

Todat Drago will play Adam Duffy in the second round.
